and seems not able to find them. I did change the Search to include ISO,
Is their something missing? thanks jh

---------------------------
Couldn't load IMDB Poster file
Actual Error is: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: startIndex cannot be larger than length of string.

Parameter name: startIndex

at System.String.InternalSubStringWithChecks(Int32 startIndex, Int32 length, Boolean fAlwaysCopy)

at Movies_Plugin_Info_Management.MainForm.IMDB_LookupButtonClick(Object sender, EventArgs e)
---------------------------

Well I hadn't really thought about .iso files and don't have my gbpvr setup to even play them at the moment.

But I don't see any reason that it can't see them as the plugin really doesn't care what type of files they are, if gbpvr can play them then the plugin should be able to also. Where exactly aren't you seeing the .iso files show up? In the plugin itself or one of the DB utilities?

Ok, good about the file type. I didn't think there was any reason it wouldn't see them.

About the error, I've still got the errors popping up with that information since this is still a beta version. All it actually means is that it could not load a poster file, you'll actually get a separate popup for each field it can't load (poster just happens to be first). So if it can't find the movie at all then you'll actually get like 10 of those popups although sometimes it finds most of the info and just can't find a couple of fields (rating being a good example of this).

Remember to change the Movie Title field at the top to the appropriate movie title before you search otherwise the IMDB lookup will fail and will popup those like 10 boxes.

So if you have the title correct and it just won't get the poster then you can manually download the poster from IMDB and save it wherever you want (make sure to put the appropriate filename into the poster filename and full path field if you do that though) . If you have to do that though please let me know what movie it is for so I can try to find out why it didn't find the poster for it.

Once I'm out of beta I will be disabling those popups so don't worry about that, I know they're a bit annoying right now. Wink

I checked on one movie and i think i know why it is getting the error of not finding it as it lists more than one with the listing. I guess it would be to hard to have more than one listed to show them and then pick that one?. jh

What it does is query imdb with the movie title that you provide, then it pulls the first popular title that returns and uses that to provide all the information. That's why the title is important if it returns no results then it won't get anything.

The error on saving the poster image is the big reason i want to store the images into the database, at least that's my current line of thinking, it's having problems with overwriting already existing files. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I've not yet found any rhyme or reason for it. Make sure the folder exists where you are trying to save the poster file to. Right now it will create the file, but iirc it won't create the directory automatically. I will be working on that as this goes forward to get that ironed out.

BTW, does it actually play the .iso files? Like I said I don't have my gbpvr setup with the daemontools to do that with so I'm curious if it will play them or not.

I'll be working on the filesave thing and keep the wiki updated as I make progress on it.
