When I use the normal 9 mode, everything is fine. I am trying to use the Live preview mode so I can watch video from a Gamecube without time-shifting. On all tv channels I have no video - also the OSD disappears. i have channel audio however.

I have tried all of the various MPEG decoders and options for deinterlace. Outside of that, product works great!

When you get the black screen in overlay mode, does pressing F7 help at all?

I had this issue(and the F7 worked - this may have been in an earlier version though). I think it was something to do with the way the auto-aspect ratio works in overlay.

Cheers

I have the same overlay problem as JohnnyCam: since version 99.5 I have to use F7 to cycle through the aspect ratios to get a picture. I can get a picture on all aspect ratios, but watching Live TV always involves pressing F7 to remove a blank screen that appears since the upgrade.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Will try the F7 option and see how it goes, plus I will zip the log and send it your way.

I've tested several open source PVRs the last few days, of all of them -gbpvr is the most professional working and least taxing on the system!

It doesnt seem to be able to detect the size of your video. Its probably the video decoder that is causing this. Have you tried other video decoders?

Thanks for taking the time to look into it. Do you know if there are any issues using an MX440 video card - it is built into the main board of my Sony VAIO
