Hi, all....

Help.....

I record mostly blue's clues, dora the explorer, CSI, Ugly Betty, etc
My recordings for non-cartoons are too dark when play back.....
Is it because of my settings? If so, where should I reconfig?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Oh, I use PVR150 and GB-PVR v0.96.12

Hi there,

It depends, you can adjust the PVR-150 settings with this tweak tool

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...eTweakTool

But before you do that, make sure that your video card out setting are OK. In other words is it just your recordings or is everything too dark? My nvidia card has a brightness adjust for the TV out and also one for the playback of video.

Hope this helps some.

Unfortunately some people seem to suffer dark outputs from the MVP - I guess you mean this as it's in your sig?. The tweak tool mentioned above can boost the brightness of recording to compensate - certainly worth trying.

I've tried, the non-cartoons recordings from 2 diff computers (monitors) and also from MVP, and they all seem darker, which suggest to me it's the setting on the recordings.....

However, what stumbles me is that the regular cartoons like Dora the Explorer or Blue's Clues all seem good when it comes to brightness.....

Is there anything I need to watch out for before setting up the tweak tool? I mean like the hardware part of the pvr, etc? Or simply install the tweak tool and play around with it?
Will that affect the cartoons recordsing then?

You just unzip the tool and open it up then adjust, don't do anything drastic, small changes and test. Remember it's only the brightness that you need. Also a good rule of thumb for any tests is "write down what is is before you start" that way you can always go back.
