Has anyone got an IrDA that works with DSR600 (The NZ Sky Black Box)?

I'm looking to buy something in New Zealand to replace my MCE IR Blaster.

I dont know of anywhere in NZ that sells them, but if you're in Wellington I'm happy to lend you an Actisys IR200L and USB-UIRT for a couple of days to see if either works for you - which is certainly cheaper than importing one to find they dont work.

Just so you know though, IrDA is different type of standard, which can be used as an IR Blaster.

Unfortunately, Im down on the West Coast of the South Island.

I've heard the USB-UIRT works fine with DSR600 - was hoping they would be available in lil ol' NZ Smile

I have the sky guy coming on Friday to fix my decoder as it wont work on some channels properly, so hopefully Ill get a different model.

I have a USB-UIRT I no longer use. It's just the stock standard one - let me know if you're interested. As far as I'm aware, it's in pretty good condition. Reason I stopped using it was that I had much better luck using the MCE remote/blasters.

I got my sky decoder replaced on Friday and it has worked well with my MCE IR Blaster since.

If your still interested in selling it, drop me a line at sentient@digitalfantasy.co.nz with a price and a method of paying.

Honestly, if the MCE stuff is working for you, I probably wouldn't bother. It seems to work far better than the USBUIRT gear. $50 maybe for the receiver? I think it cost roughly $100 or so to get one over here. I have no use for it, so am not too fussed.
