I want my GBPVR to record EVERY poker show (for the most part). Unfortunately, none of these have subtitles or episode numbers as far as I can see through the TV Guide, so I assume the duplicates will still be recorded. Is there anything I can put in the batch file or a program I can use to periodically check for duplicate videos? I'd imagine this would suck up a ton of processing power but I suppose that's fine considering it's a dedicated machine for TV only and I'd only run it once a day.

I'm currently got Stattik's AutoTranscodeCut automatically reading through my recordings file every 30 minutes or so, so I figure I could just stick something in that to check for new files that may be duplicates or something like that.

Any solutions?

Do you know for sure zap2it isnt supplying the episode info? This info isnt normally showning in the TV Guide.

Without this info, GB-PVR has no way to reliably know whether two recordings a duplicates.

Where would it be shown then? Is there any way I could ensure that it WOULD detect the duplicates?

You see, there's got to be at least 2 hours worth of recording in poker PER DAY, and that would amount to a gigantic amount of space. I just want to be sure I don't fill my harddrive in a week with duplicate recordings.

Unfortunately its not shown anywhere. Its not really a human readable thing - just a big long code.

The best thing to do is just enable the 'dont record duplicates' setting, and try it. It'll either work, or zap2it isnt supplying the info and it'll record all episodes - in which case there isnt much we can do about it.
