How cool would it be if there was a yahoo messeger plugin, so Lets say you were watching TV, next thing you get a instant message on the bottom of your screen, or if someone was using video calling that a video would appear in the top right hand corner, mute the TV sound and you could start chating away, via a mike.

I think this is the future, unless someone has already done it

Please poll if you would like this in the near future, and you never know someone might listen

Cheers

Pete

Have this but with an option to have it off. I mean think about living far from family this would be a cool thing to have to keep in touch.

I'm with you.
However I can see how the younger college crowd would think this is cool.

I think it would be better with Skype. But apparently this is not going to be programmed by anyone because there isnt a huge demand for it or something.... Sad

A multi-messenger plugin would be good, like Trillian. The missus would love it (as would i - it would free up the main comp!) but it would have to be on only when i want it on, echoing the above comments!

Yeah just think, instead of checking your PC every now and then, to see if you got a instant message or a missed call, you could do it all from the comfort of your arm chair in the living room.

Please someone make a plugin Big Grin

PS you could have a busy option, if you dont we to be distrubed.

I don't get it, you're not expecting to chat using the remote, are you (SMS-style, with 2abc 3def, etc...).
So, if you're going to have somekind of wireless keyboard, what's the big deal to ALT-TAB to your favorite chat program (or a web-based one like Meebo) and be done with it?
You could even have GB-PVR windowed at the time of chat, so you can see both (assuming TV is big/HD enough). Style PIP.
