Visualization skipping

This isnt really a big deal and I dont really care about fixing this but the visualizations for music playback always skip at a continuous interval when showed in the menu. When the visualizations are fullscreen the visualizations run fine. They also run fine in wmp. The problem is only when being displayed in the main menu.
Is there a way of turning off the visualizations in the main menu?

Did you ever get a fix for this? I'm having the same problem.

In the config.xml file look for a tag usewindowsmediaplayerforaudio if you set this to false you will have no visualisations.

Or if you edit the main menu skin.xml I think there is a tag for an inset so that most likely will remove it just form the main menu. The first option i gave will remove them from everything.

I actually did find a fix for the problem.... I bought a new computer. It now never skips. I spent a lot of time trying to debug the problem but I think in the end my old computer was too slow. What are you using to run gbpvr? I used to have a p3 1ghz 384 mb ram.

I have a similar problem, except that the music will skip only on certain songs and does so randomly. Sometimes the music skips even when the visualization is not active. I'm running a 1.4GHz Athlon XP 1600+ with 1GB RAM and a GeForce3 video card. Any suggestions?
