Sorry even if have been discussed in the past I couldn't find a solution.
Since I have some recording with corrupted timeline I tried to solve the problem approaching to zprocess, but after the re-encode a 0:00:00 legth is reported.
Obviously noresume or skip is possible.
Anybody have a solution?

You might try Retime, it's on the wiki.
Good luck.

You are right, but from zprocess point of view Re-encode function is not suitable. Since I was trying to use it...
Probably zprocess uses “c:\program files\mplayer\mencoder.exe” -of mpeg -ovc copy -oac copy “%~dpn1_faulty.mpg” -o “%~dpn1.mpg” command as reported in the wiki in the retime page.

Originally, ZProcess used the Re-Time that's found on the wiki. Then I discovered that MEncoder can reencode much much faster than Re-time. So I ripped it out. Frankly, you're the first person to mention that you're using any form of re-encoding with ZProcess. I'm sorry I didn't think I would be affecting anyone...

Anyway, I have found with my tests that the mencoder reencode works well. So if you'd like to troubleshoot that we can. If you'll be using re-time, I might add that support into ZProcess again...

I've found zprocess very usefull for all those operations you have to do every time is necessary and even more. One I have is retime process since I didn't find any robust mpeg decoder yet.
Now I installed 901 and i'm trying different mencoder options to get rid of timeline problem.
If you know the trick pleas put it into zprocess I'll apreciate that.

I know it's not polite but it works for me.
With the command:
mencoder.exe "%~dpn1_faulty.mpg" -oac copy -ovc copy -of mpeg 2 -o "%~dpn1.mpg"
it never gives 0:00 length!
Tis is due to the "2" that mencoder find at the end of the conversion and exit with error avoiding to record the header into the converted file.
You probably know a better way!

You're right that's quite a hack... Using a bug to work for you...

I'll look into this. Thanks

Not yet tested but with ffmpeg the command should be:
ffmpeg.exe -y -i "%~dpn1_faulty.mpg" -vcodec copy -acodec copy "%~dpn1.mpg"
Tomorrow I'll test with last FFmpeg available (29 dec 2006).

Another proposal is zprocess keep in charge also the hibernate functions now to be handled by a lot of different progs.
I personally use: shutter, DOS cmd and Slimm GB-PVR
More details if needed...

I will mostly only keep ZProcess compatible with the version available with GB-PVR.

I won't be working on code for the hibernate type feature.

OK for Hibernate I'm pretty satisfied as I set up my system.

While I wish you inform that ffmpeg works great as retimer!
I've just finished to retime a 4 hours movie (The Gladiator) without a problem.
Anyway I'll keep testing and report what it happens.
