Revised Web Interface - Request Your Feedback

I've been talking with sub about redesigning the Web interface.  If you have a moment, please take look at these screenshots and provide your feedback.

This first iteration I think would be a basic skin job, keeping GBPVR's current color scheme and identity, with no new functionality.  I'm thinking it would be a good idea to drop the frameset and put the listings in a popup window when you click on them.

I think my wishlist for this aspect of the program is:
* Ability to configure recordings like the main app (setting recording quality, padding time)
* Color-coding listings by type (i.e. green for movies, red for news, or whatever)
* Password protection up front
* Display listing description and other XMLTV data (such as movie rating, stars) if it's available, on the popup window or even on the grid itself
* An "Options" tab to let the user pick a different-colored skin, whether or not to have listings, etc.

Thoughts?  Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Can I be the first to say that those pages look great! Its nice to see someone with some artist skills. Do you have the pages semi-functioning or are they mock-ups at the moment?

Depending how far along they are, I'd been keen to add these to the next release and make it available to all users.

I think from your wishlist, the most often requested feature was some simple password protection.

Not all of the programme listing information from the XMLTV is currently retained in GB-PVR. Much of it is just thrown out, but I'm sure I could look to retain some of the addition information such as Genre if it is available (some files dont have them). Its probably a bit late for the release I'm currently working on, but for the one after it should be possible.

Thanks. I have this stuff just in Photoshop. I can build the HTML templates and get them to you later tonight (well, tonight in the U.S.)

No other feedback from anyone though?

Password protection should be optional though since in a in-house enviroment I don't want to type a password for my vcr.

Lookin good, any chance I could get hold of a copy to try out ?

One think I would really like to see is some form of security bolted on though, anything will do from a basic main entry password, as something is better than nothing, going on the intranet idea, maybe an option to give certain ip's or same subnet ip's unrestricted access would be cool.

I am not too keen on the idea of a pop-up window though, I know M$ are looking at altering ie not to spawn popup's, which could be a problem in the future, although I use firebird so i can unblock popups for the interface. How about using a css layer instead, not knowing much about css, but im sure this is possible these days...

Beautiful! Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see the next release especially if this is included. Actually - the http is broken in 0193 so the next release is really a requirement to add this unless you want to load in the previous version of the http stuff.

I really like the look of that, it is similar to the ones I am used to on my sat receiver.  The only feature I'm looking for besides password protection is a search function on the guide.
