My Feb 20 edition of PC Magazine arrived in the mail today. This edition features the "Best Free Software for 2007". Supposed that is "78 tried-and-true apps hand-selected by our hard-working editors."

I always love these lists. Not only to you find some real gems in them but it is always fun to see how many of the the apps I am already using.

There in the Video and Graphics section I found:

GBPVR
With GB-PVR you can shcedule and play back recordings from almost any current video capture card or external video sources, but it works best with Hauppauge's popular hardware. It also records radio or Net radio and plays back DVDs. An elegant default skin and a set of default plg-ins give quick access to standard broadcast schedules, and a growing plug-in libray lets you ad weather and other special-interest sources.

Congrats and thank you to Sub for a great base product and framework and to all the other hard working plug-in developers for a great PVR suite.

Regards,

Congrats Sub... i'm honored to be one satisfied user...

(Quick Story: Had some guests over to watch a show. We started watching it about 15 minutes into the recording, so the show kept skipping commercials. To make things easier, my housemate--whom i had to correct privately--called it our tivo. Near the end, our guest was confused, "Wait, why are there no commercials?". Housemate says, "oh it's our tivo". Guest: "My tivo doesnt do that!" That's right, it doesn't, because you don't got gbpvr!)
