For those of us who voted no, you might want to be more specific about what an MVP is. I am pretty sure I don't have one since I don't know exactly what it is and my computer is only hooked up to one TV. Does "streaming" include the ability to use EWA plugin to watch a show stored on my computer on another computer in another city by a family member? If so, I will be interested in exploring what is needed to have a MVP or other device to make this type of streaming work.

You may also add a space for multiple MVPs. I have 2. I know others have up to 4.

oh...i was basically referring to huappage's media mvp. by 'other streaming device'...i was referring to standalone products from linksys, hp, etc that aren't computers.

I have a wired MVP and a wired Linkplayer2.
The MVP was inexpensive but not nearly as useful as the Linkplayer2 not as stable. IMO NMP is a better way to go than HTPC.

I'm guessing that in this case, it's not the streaming you get from VLC and EWA... An MVP is a very thin client that displays video and other content from GB-PVR. It's 'thin' because it is a computer, but not a very intelligent one... Most of the thinking happens on a server, which is the GB-PVR main PVR... MVP is also usually a shortened word for MediaMVP by Hauppauge. The MVP stands for Movies, Video and Photos (I think, though Movies and Video seem redundant redundant) Any 'other' Streaming device, to date, will not be an actual GB-PVR interface, but rather it will play video and such from Network shares... Just got another one, so I can test ZProcess before I roll out a version and bust someone's system.... :o
I love 'em, even though it would be nice if they were built from higher quality components, and things like Brightness and Saturation could be adjusted without voiding the warranty... ![]()

I have an MVP wired in that I rarely use. Most of my media is played through a DSM-320. The poll doesn't allow for that combination.

I wish all audio equipment had ethernet connections so you could get software to control all of them! This Harmony remote stuff is for the birds. Get one thing out of sync and it screws up the scenario. Imagine plugging your TV, DVD player, Amp, Media player, etc. into a hub and running it all via software on the TV screen. If I could find a wireless MVP for $30-$40, I might spring for it, but not over $100.... who wants to watch TV on TV speakers? ;-)
