Windows Vista SideShow remote controls will be coming out soon. Take a look at this one:

http://www.engadget.com/2006/12/21/ricav...t-100-met/

It would be nice if support for these remotes will be available in future releases! I think (but I'm not sure) that what is needed is a SideShow app on GB-PVR.

Thanks for the great work.

Wow! I really want one of those, even as i realised that everything it could display is already going to be shown on an even bigger display right in front of my sofa! lol

It made me think though, Sony Erricsson phones have a bluetooth remote control, and i stumbled upon this app that allows not only feedback from the computer of which track is playing in Winamp/iTunes and others, but allows user scripts in VB and Java.

Could be a good one if anyone wants to create a bluetooth GBPVR remote control with colour display?

I have a Sony Ericsson with the bluetooth control thingy. Will be very interested to see how this plays out.

Seems like RC8 (the latest version) has problems with XP64. Anyone have RC7 as that is said to be ok?

They've posted a copy of RC7 on their forums so having a play now. Interested in seeing how this could work with GB-PVR.

McBain, What bluetooth driver/software do you have? My class 2 was Broadcom and was pretty buggy (sometimes would not allow reinstall - stating licence not found). My newer class 2 device which is required for the remote control functions uses the BlueSoleil software, which does not seem to integrate with windows very well (puts pictures sent from different phones into different folders with seemingly no logic behind it, Has a habit of failing to initialise properly requiring a reboot to get it working, and wont work with the Windows shell 'send to > bluetooth' menu).

I wish i could combine the features of the class 1 device with the functionality of the class 2!

I have a class 2 MSI star key running Window's built-in bluetooth software stack (as I have WinXP 64). Very pleased with it, behaving as expected.

Syncs and sends/receives files from my SE k750 just fine.
