Due to timecode problems I have, I’m trying to find the best solution in playing my recordings. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I may record either from analogue and/or digital tuners.
The problem:
I’ve found that the demultiplexer mpg2splt.ax is not robust enough to avoid stuttering, blocking and other malfunctions while playing mpg file with inconsistent timeline and I’ve found that Elecard demultiplexer does the job better. The problem is that if I set up for Elecard demultiplexer I’m not able to make liveTV working because it needs mpg2splt.ax as demultiplexer and not Elecard.
How can I get rid of this silly problem since I need both play recordings and watch live TV?

It can only use alternative demultiplexers during file playback. During live TV it needs to use special features of the demultiplexer (configuring TS push mode, manual pin creation, PID mapping), which I'm only able to use on the Microsoft MPEG2 demultiplexer.

The Elecard demultiplexer most likely has the same features, but it uses proprietary mechanisms for doing it, and I'd have to be a licensee paying the big $$$ to get their Software Development Kit - which is obviously not an option for me.

Now it works great.
One thing remains unsolved, it bloks if REW is pressed in MCE remote.
Attached are the logs while screen is freezed.
appcompat.txt contains MSFT useful info (I hope)

Do you use the default 'use short skip instead of FF/RW' enabled setting? If this has been disabled to try to do a real fastforward or rewind, then its dependent on whether the demultiplexer will allow it or not. I've never used this specific demultiplexer, so I couldnt tell you how it behaves with this.

Presently I don't use skip instead of FF/RW.
Demultiplexer I use is Elecard as video and audio decoders + AC3
