Forgive my ignorance, but I don't get, how I can tune in my channels...

card: pvr 150 (non mce)
EPG-Data: nxtvepg (format xmltv)
GBPVR: GBPVR09905

My EPG works fine, all data is displayed but the channels are not tuned. I could nowhere find a place, where I can type in my channel-frequencies.

thanks for your help.

You need to set up your tuner for some kind of input, be it cable, svideo, or composite. You do this in config. What is your video source? Normally, you don't have to type in any frequencies. A little more information will help us help you.

thanks for trying to help me!

video source is cable. if i click on "edit source" all my channels are there. they seems to come from nxtvepg under "source channel" my channels have numbers from 0 to 37.

how should gbprv know the frequencies?

I guess I still don't really understand your problem. If your cable is sending programs in on channels 0 to 37, and if your epg source lists those channels as 0-37, then you should not have to input anything. Just go to live tv and punch in your channel number to access the show. You should also be able to select the show from the guide. If your epg does not match the cable channel numbers, then you can change them in config. Look at this section in the wiki. It should be able to help. http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Config/Config

Otherwise let us know what it is (or is not doing).

all right, i got it. thanks! i have to put in channel-numbers in config (or frequencies). my epg-program doesn't know about the channel-numbers, so i have to tell gbpvr directly.

thanks for sour support.

Correct, and if you run the tuning assistant it'll show you what the channel numbers are.

Just for future reference - this is one significant difference between the US and the rest of the world. As an example, in the US channel 6 is typically transmitted on channel 6 etc. In the rest of the world channel 6 is transmitted on some random number between 2 and 125, making it a bit more work when setting up your capture source.

Some xmltv files do specifiy the correct channel number to use, and GB-PVR will use those if specified, but often people have to run the Tuning Assistant to work out what channels are where, and enter the details in the capture source settings.

Thanks for the added info Sub. I figured he was not from the US since he was using xmltv but I guess I did not know how different that was. You learn something every day! I hope I did not cause too much confusion.
