I'm a bit behind on things and just upgraded to v0.99.5 last week. I also changed over to SQLite. I then noticed that while trying to Pause a previously recorded video on my MVPs (happens on both of them), I get kicked back to the video folder and the only key on the remote that works is the Power Button. This wasn't a problem on v0.98.13. I searched the forum for this issue and even tried the "VMR9 Custom renderer" issue patch, but it didn't help (pausing on the PC is no problem). This appears to be reproducable every time. I looked at the log files that updated when I reproduced the error, but nothing jumped out at me. They are attached.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Brad

That doesnt seem to be the correct log file. It shows GB-PVR starting up and waiting for the MVP to connect.

That's odd, I just reproduced it again and none of the log were updated, at least the time and date stamp didn't change. I opened the Config and log level is set to debug. After doing this, the config logs updated.

I powered the MVP down and then gbpvr.exe-native.log updated, but it looks almost identical to the log file I uploaded previously.

Which log file would you expect to have the desired info?

If you'd powered down the MVP, then its probably in gbpvr.exe-1.log.

I have a GBPVR.exe-3.log, but the time stamp on that file was 3.5 hours before my last test. I searched the "devnz" tree and did not find anything newer.

I have scheduled recordings for the next couple of hours (prime-time over here), but afterwards I'll do a reboot and test again to see if I can get some updated log files.

These look better. I selected a recording, skipped ahead a bit, let it play for a while, then tried to pause it. It put me back in the video folder. I tried a bunch of keys and it caused a reboot, then I powered down.

hmm, I'm not seeing what I'd expect to see in the logs. I can see some menus being served up to the MVP, but no attempted video playback.

Are you running more than one MVP server? If so then only the first one will produce logs. If thats the case, try dropping down to one server while we get these logs.

I was only running 1 MVP at a time when I created the previous logs, but on your suggestion I changed the number of servers to 1 and retested. "gbpvr.exe-1.log" appears to have some info in it. Note that I tried a bunch of buttons after the pause and it ended up on Live TV. That appeared to have created more errors. When I exited from Live TV, it rebooted. The pause is the first error in the log file though.

Thanks,
-Brad

Ok, I can see the error in the logs now. The cause isnt immediately obvious to me, but I'll think about it a bit.

Do you have any files in the 'c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\plugins' directory?

No plug-ins installed, and the directory is empty.

Don't rack your brain too hard, I'm sure you have more important things to do. If all else fails, I can always try a re-install. Any chance the switch to SQLite could be involved? I could try 0.99.5 with Access first if I reinstall.
