Is there a way to stop the directory scanning after it has been started?

I made a config mistake and needed to preconfigure the directories before I started the scanning.

Thank you.

No. Once it starts it runs to completion. The only way to stop it is to exit GBPVR. You can rescan again after making whatever changes you want to make and that should fix things up.

Hi Jeff,
I started the directory scanning from the GB config panel. When I try to open gbpvr it would not open at all.

Also, I have rebooted my computer several times and the scanning always come back. I also try to kill GBPVR recording service and tray but it did not help.

It's been like that for the last 12 Hrs.

Is that normal?

Is there a way to kill a process, remove a component file and have it stop manually? Or reset it to start from scratch?

Thanks

No, the longest I have seen it run is on the order of 5 to 10 minutes, and I have 7 drives including 2 1TB NAS drives to scan. You can change the setting in the config program to not scan on startup. You could also zip up the log files in the Jeff subdirectory and post them and I could take a look to see what is going on.

I installed the latest version of GB like it was stated in the Video archive plugin page that it was tested on the that version and it works fine now.

Thanks.
