HTPC is Rebooting

I am having a problem with my HTPC. I have my rig connected to my HDTV via DVI to HDMI cable and I am running GBPVR with 1 Vbox DTA-150 ATSC card. While the unit is recording a show, if I switch the TV to the HDMI input to watch the HTPC, the unit will reboot. This only happenes if it is recording. I am at a loss as to why this is happening. I am planning to build a backend server and have it do the recording, hopefully soon, but I would really like to find out why this is happening and how to fix it.


Anyone have any ideas???

If its causing a reboot, then it'll mostly be a buggy driver - probably video card driver from the sound of your problem, or maybe the vbox driver.

It is just the strangest thing. I have had zero issues since I got this all set up, besides these odd reboots. I set this whole thing up around New Years and installed the most up to date Vbox drivers. I will check them to see if Vbox released newer ones.

Anybody know if the TV is sending some sort of signal over the HDMI to the PC when that input is selected?

The best way to trouble shoot it is to do a system memory dump. follow http://www.jsifaq.com/SF/Tips/Tip.aspx?id=0726 this and it should point you to the right direction. Also look at your system logs the help out alot.
