it would be nice to have an option to filter the epg-information. so one could view only series or only movies. another option could display all series/movies/whole information beginning from a defined prime-time (here in germany the movies start at 20.15 (8.15 pm)).

this could be implemented in the "search guide" - section.

just a few ideas.

by the way: i mentioned it before, but there were osd-problems with this: are you thinking of implementing the "aspect-ratio-thing"? [Image: smile.gif] would be nice to have!

While on the epg subject.. It would be great to have key-words that highlights programs in the epg (just some other colour than selected and recording), so you can have the epg mark all programs that have "formula 1", "news" or "japanese & movie" in the descriptions/titles [Image: tounge.gif]

You should be able to navigate with the MVP keypad. In addition to up,down, left, right you can type the channel number and press enter. You can also use the skip keys to move back for forward a day.

Perhaps showing the time top right on the EPG (based on the system clock? And/Or grabbed off the internet once a night?)? Not even just on the EPG, perhaps have an option to permanently show it on every 'screen' (i.e. non-liveTV)? Just be really handy when browsing the TV guide! [Image: biggrin.gif]

Hi,

Another EPG-related wish:

My XMLTV source tends to have rather lengthy program descriptions. Some are over 1K characters long... I like this, because it gives me more information to schedule recordings. However, GBPVR truncates these descriptions in its TV guide.

It would be really nice if GBPVR had a means to scroll through a program description so the whole thing can be displayed.

Come to think of it, I have another wish (related to the previous one). If more information is available than can be displayed, like in the list of recordings, I would love to have some 'feed forward' indication.

Regards,

Jan

would it be possible to select the attributes, which should be displayed? in the configuration there could be a list of the available information (depends on xmltv-source) and the user could then select the attributes.

this would solve the epg-problems concerning different types of information.

Hi,

just a thought, that may have been mentioned elsewhere, It would be nice , to be able to highlight multiple programs in the EPG, and then tell the system to record all of them.

i guess it would have to have a conflict resolution function as well.

Cheers

there is a record-button on the hauppauge-remote. why not use this button for quick rec, instead of calling the popup.
