I've hunted through here for a solution to this but I've drawn a blank. I've reinstalled my system disk (it died Sad ) and now I have zero length recordings for mpg files recorded from a Terratec Cinergy dual tuner or the DVB-T side of a HVR1300. I have set it up exactly as before, and use the Cyberlink mux correctly registered. dvr-ms files are 6 kb and then stop. Logs attached. Any help greatly appreciated.

Nothing at present as I took the Cyberlink and ATI AVIVO muxes off. The dvr-ms was the only onr left. The Cyberlink mux works on my other PC. I've put them both back now and it now says:

GB-PVR has detected the following multiplex filters on your machine:

Found: CyberLink MPEG Muxer
FILE: C:\WINDOWS\system32\mpgmux.ax
VERSION: 5.0.0813

Found: ATI MPEG Multiplexer
FILE: C:\Program Files\Common Files\ATI Technologies\Multimedia\atidvcr.dll
VERSION: 9.14.0.60504

If you're running WinXP SP1 or higher, you will also be able to use the built-in DVR-MS mux filter

I hope that helps.

Cheers.

Just to add - time shift works fine and creates an mpg file in the liveTV folder that grows as expected.

5.0.0813 isnt a very good version, and lots of people had problems with this version. 5.0.0.1307 fared much better.

That may not help you with your problem though.

It's working fine on my other machine and worked on this one until the disk blew and needed replacing. dvr-ms files don't work either. Anything in the logs?

I just found and installed 5.0.1307 and the problem persists.

Mpg encoding from the cmposite input of the HVR1300 works fine. It's oly from the DVB-T/BDA plugin sources.

Can you do a recording with the cyberlink mux, then zip and attach the logs?

I don't get this. When you start a recording do you see 3 files created? One should start at 95.5MB and the other two will be quite small (4KB and 1KB - possibly shown as 0KB for the latter depending on how you view it). The first should increase in 95.5MB increments periodically during the recording.

Or are you just finding the dvr-ms file on it's own after the recording should have finished and Windows reports it as 6KB? (Probably about 5500 bytes or there abouts).

Cheers,
Brian
