I really like where you are going with the additions to the episode search -- thanks for so quickly implementing solutions to my wishlist!

I just downloaded Build 58 to try out the new features but have run into a problem. It "seems" to be ignoring the genre selections when it performs the search -- as best as I can tell no matter what I select out of the genre list, I get the same episode listings back. Basically, I am trying this with the Search Phrase left blank, choosing any one of the genre entries, and not selecting any of the channel entries. Whether I select one genre, no genre, or multiple genres, I seem to get the same result -- lots and lots of found programs.

Note that the channel selection seems to work okay... and the new save/delete search feature works GREAT! I also note that I am no longer getting the "out of memory" failure on large search requests so that fix seems to be working great as well.

When created a save search of two genre's it dies on me. I am wondering if my saved search results in a scan for everything because the genre's are not really selected.

Dies....what do you by dies?

Does the search work without saving it?

Ok....I am looking into this now.

One note on Genre.....when you select at least one Genre only shows with Genre associated with it will be searched....all other shows will be ignored.

I went back and tried a couple of experiments just to make sure that I wasn't screwing up. Configuration is gbpvr 99.12 w/ zap2it

Search by Title, Phrase = (blank), Genre = Adults Only, Channels = (none highlighted). Search goes away for a while and then comes back with many hundreds of shows including 101 Dalmations and Teletubbies. Last time I checked, neither of these was what I would call "Adults Only" :-)

Search by Title, Phrase = (blank), Genre = Wrestling, Channels = (none highlighted). Search goes away for a while and then comes back with what looks to be the same programs including 101 Dalmations and Teletubbies.

When I limit the search by channel (but not by Genre) everything works as expected.

Hope this info helps.

Ahhh..... what a difference a line of code makes :-) Seems to be working great. Now I can set up a couple of custom searches and try this build out for real. Much Thanks!!!

That solved my error as well. I had selected "SciFi" and "Fantasy" and ran the search; which resulted in an error page.

That same saved search works perfectly with the patch. Smile
