System:
Win XP Pro (IBM, 2.8ghz, 512mb)
GeForce 6200 LE (EVGA brand)
Hauppage PVR 150 (retail version)
.Net 2.0 installed
GBPVR 99.12 (upgraded from 99.05)
S-video connected to TV, no monitor attached

As a GBPVR novice, I spent alot of time searching all the posts before creating one. I first built my system with the 99.05 version and a GeForce2 Ti card. It was working flawlessly except the crappy video-out on the dinosaur card. So after reading many posts, I purchased a GeForce 6200 LE (EVGA brand) as an inexpensive replacement ($40). Days before receiving the new card, I upgraded to 99.05 and starting having issues with the PC not going to standby. I just left it running all the time and assumed I did something wrong to keep it awake (no further action). Soon the new 6200 card arrived and that was an instant improvement on the video quality.

After I realized it wasn't ever going to standby, I found the patch for standyby issues in the survival guide and the machine would go to "sleep" successfully. However, now when GBPVR is running upon going to either standby or hibernate it won't display upon resuming. In other words, resuming without GBPVR running will display my normal windows desktop, but with the GBPVR (full screen) running all I get is a black screen. Exiting GBPVR and launching it again still nets a black screen until the system is rebooted (I haven't tried restarting services... I'm sure that would side step the reboot).

Moving the mouse, pressing the PC power button or pressing any remote keys will not 'wake' the screen. Up arrowing on the remote once and pressing ok will exit GBPVR and then I get the display.

I have tried setting the power button to "ask me what to do" as suggested by an earlier post. That doesn't seem to make a difference on my setup.

The decoder device is set to the default "none" as suggested in posts with PVR-350 issues.

I tried with and without running TVTool (in entertainment mode) although it doesn't technically support the newer card.

I tried using an application that installs as a screensaver (forget the name) that can capture an idle profile to create setpoints, but it only seemed to cause a recording problem (7 minutes into a recording, it stopped).

Aside from downgrading back to 99.05 or just leaving the system on all the time (adding to my already high electric bill), I'm not sure what else to try.

Suggestions? (sorry for the long postBig Grin )

I'm not sure if this is your issue or not, but there is a known issue with the new VMR9 Custom and VMR9 FSE renderers in v0.99.12 not displaying the screen after resume. I'm looking into it.

Ah yes, I'm using the VRM9 Custom setting as it filled the screen nicely (opposed to the 'non-custom' setting which left a gap down the left side no matter how large I streched the screen settings).

Ok, thanks for the prompt reply. Glad to know you are working on it.Smile

yeah funny. I get the same thing. I VNC to the box and use task manager to kill gbpvr.exe, then just load it back up again.

I am also getting this error. I just switched to overlay mode untill a new version comes out or a fix. Thanks for the awesome product.

I did post a patch for this in another thread. It fixed it for VMR9 Custom (not VMR9 FSE).

I didn't have much luck with the patch; however, I'm thinking I may be having an Nvidia driver problem as the screen would come up black no matter what renderer setting I used. On VMR9 or VMR7, it came back once or twice correctly, but after that I get an infinite loop BSOD with the video card driver details followed by a reboot.
The card is a 6200 LE eVGA card connecting via s-video to the TV. No monitor. I have the latest Nvida drivers installed. I have a few ideas, bu haven't had a chance to tinker with it lately. The system works great if I just leave it on all the time (I'm sure it puts a nice dent in my electric bill though).
