Hello there,
I have been TRYING to use MP to get my HTPC to work, and I am at my wits end. I have heard that gbpvr is way better. Let me ask, does gbpvr support any DVICO cards? What about scanning channels from USA, with locality intact? What about the epg, does it actually work..sorry I seem bitter, but I have spent quite a bit of time trying to get my Dvico FusionHDTV 5 RT Gold to work with MP, and I dont want to use the fusion software, which works fine for tv, but I, like many others, want a total solution. Well hopefully this one will help find the light at the end of the tunnel!! thanks

You can use the dvico cards as a 'over the air' digital card with GB-PVR.

You cant use the analog side of this device, since it lacks the required MPEG2 encoder hardware.

I'm not sure what you mean by "locality intact". It will scan for ATSC channels.

It uses zap2it for the EPG, which is pretty straight forward.

In the limited time I had an ATSC card at home it seemed that zap2it sometimes did not get all of streams from the channel. It always hit the main programming but sometimes things like the weather on a subchannel would be missed, especially if there were more than 1 subchannel.
In general though, zap2it was very good.

Media center EPG didn't hit any of the subchannels automatically you had to always add them by hand.
