Hi,
I am wanting to be able to record myself when i play my ps2. I have an HP tuner card with the inputs to connect to my ps2. Will this GB-PVR program be able to do this without a delay?
I have been looking for a program that will allow me to record myself playing my ps2. Windows media center will allow me, but it has a two second delay, which makes it impossible to play. I've tried many programs, but none of them seem to be compatable with my HP tuner card.

There will also be a delay with GB-PVR.

You'd be better off buying some RCA splitters and going directly to the TV, while the split goes to the capture card - this way you'll see the action in realtime on the TV, and you dont need to care that the PC is recording slightly delayed from real time.

I assume you're meaning Hauppauge instead of HP? You know HP is an entirely different company?

Ok, i'll look into the RCA splitters. Are these for the yellow, red, and white connections? Because that is what i hook up to the computer from the ps2.

And i do mean HP(Hewlett Packard). The capture card came with my HP laptop.

Are there not any programs that are compatable with an HP tuner card and don't have the delay?

Thank you

To be honest, I've never heard of an HP tuner card, so I couldnt tell you. It probably wont be compatible with GB-PVR though.

All the Hauppauge cards etc, use an onboard hardware MPEG2 encoder, which adds at least a second's worth of delay. There isnt really anything the software can do to avoid this.
