converting ts to mpeg

is there any documentation/help with regard to converting ts hd files to hdv mpeg format or (better still) divx hd? although ts files play really well in media player classic (i have core avc), getting them converted is proving troublesome. any help appreciated.

Have you tried converting them using the 'transcode' button in the Video Library.

transcode doesn't seem to do anything - although the ts files do play from the video library

Try it again, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

no, i'm not. i had a prob with the tv guide interface so i reverted back.

i have upgraded again but alas, the tvguide display is slow and lethargic. it appears mostly in black & white until you click a program with the mouse and the sideways scrolling through the timeline does not function hardly at all. so i guess i will have to give up the transcode attempt... ah well, back to the previous version again... has anything changed in the tvguide?

tv guide working well now... thank you for pointing me in the right direction. the transcode works... sort of! transcode to mpeg (which is really what i wanted to do) and all i get is the audio - no video. may be i have something wrong?
