How about the ability to delete recordings in the Manage Recordings tab of the web interface? I might know that my hard disk is practically full but there is a show that I just have to record. If I am at a remote location and only have access to the web interface, I will not be able to successfully record the new show unless I can delete some older ones to make room on the hard disk.

Another web interface wish: The ability to search for recordings. That would be great.

In addition to the ability to delete recordings via the web interface, it would also be nice if the web interface could indicate the amount of free disk space available for recordings.

And yet another thing that would be really nice is if the web interface would show the episode title in addition to the name of the show and the episode description.

The sub-title is not available for users in most parts of the world, so I dont show it.

hi...
the web interface is great! I travel frequently and this is an awesome way for me to make sure that everything I want to see gets recorded.  I too have two interface suggestions in addition to those already mentioned in this thread:

1) It would be nice to be able to click on a channel (perhaps by linking to the channel number and/or name) and see the listings for that channel for the next 24 or so hours.

2) The same functionality that is afforded on the gb-pvr screen for recording would be nice (record entire season, recording quality, etc.) as well.

Great job on this and the rest of gb-pvr -- I'm a huge fan!

I have to admit I'm never comfortable asking for improvements to a products that is already excellent. (beggars can't be choosers right?) but...

1. I'll second the idea of being able to control aspects of recording like quality and padding from the web interface.

2. I would love to be able to check out a pending recording and find out how many minutes of padding (either way) have been added. Sometimes, I will add a fair chunk of padding to record sports events and it would be nice to know, when I check the pending recordings, that I remembered to add the padding.

3. Is there a way to control the width of the web interface? On my 1024x768 screen, I have to scroll sideways to change the day and hour for the schedule.

I'm actually hopeful one of the other developers will step up and do some of web changes people are asking for. The release includes full source code to the web interface.

I dont intend to make any changes to it myself in the next couple of releases - too much other stuff already on my plate.

I'm happy to take a stab at any of the web interface items that's within my skill level (there's a bit of a learning curve for me -- the majority of my web programming experience is in Perl on a linux-like environment).  Where/How should I share potential improvements and additions?  PM/e-mail? or should i just post code snippets and/or attach them to the forum?  Thanks.

You can always email me changes and I'll add them next release.
