I am running the latest version with Hauppage USB2 and its all been working fine for ages.

I recently applied the latest drivers and while everything is still running fine i no longer get the pie chart showing free/used space when i go into the settings menu at the bottom of the main screen menu.

Instead i just have a black space.

All the other options withing settings seems to work ok.

Any ideas?

Try stopping the Live TV that is running (or perhaps any video running?).
I can confirm, got the same behavior.

I remember this specific problem occuring for a few people in the past. It relates to some settings on the users machine, specifically relating to WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation), but I cant remember the details.

I'll have a search to see if I can find the details.

I think that this is what you need.

Either corrupt WMI or COM services.

Go into the Event Viewer and if you're getting COM errors try this if ged's fix doesn't work:
Click Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs. In Add/Remove Programs click "Add/Remove Windows Components" on the left of the window. You should now see the "Windows Components Wizard," don't change anything and click Next. Click Finish when it says it's complete.

That runs a semi-WMI repair and a repair on the COM services. There's a way to completely trash & rebuild the WMI but I don't remember it off hand.

Yep... only would have worked if there was COM errors in the Event Logs.

I was just looking at that again... the solution only specifies either a Win2K PC or Win2K3 OS.

I found what I was refering to repairing the WMI services. It also tells you how to check to see if it's the WMI that's broken. Fair warning: proceed at your own risk and make sure you have backups of everything before proceeding. If you decide not to try this or you try it and it doesn't work, I donno what's left other than a complete reinstall... unless someone else has other ideas.
