It would be nice to be able to move the menu items around, to have the ones I use the most higher up...

I second this [Image: smile.gif]

The thing I really have a problem with is the fact that the DVD button always appears at the bottom of the list.

Would be nice to have some control

Its not really a user friendly feature, but you can already do this using the ButtonOrdering setting in the config.xml. Be warned though, if you use this you must specify the names of all the plugins you want to be visible.

I think the menus want a revamp.

There is so much now we need to be able to group items by category

This is on the list of things to do, but isn't in the next release.

What format does the ButtonOrdering list need to be in? I copied all the items from ShowButtons (the line above it) and put them in the order that I wanted, but it didn't seem to change anything. I ran the config utility, and pressed 'ok', but that didn't seem to change anything either. Here is the section from my config.xml file. Please let me know what I am doing wrong:

<ShowButtons>Recordings,TV Guide,Search Guide,Exit,Live TV,Net Radio,FM Radio (has settings),Music Library,Video Library</ShowButtons>
<ButtonOrdering>Recordings,TV Guide,Search Guide,Exit,Live TV,Net Radio,FM Radio (has settings),Music Library,Video Library
</ButtonOrdering>

Thanks.

You dont have to use the <ButtonOrdering> setting now. Just start the config app, go to the plugins screen, and 'drag and drop' the menu items into the order you prefer.

Is there any way to do this ordering for the buttons WITHIN a menu item, e.g. I'd like to have Play up top, exit down the bottom, on the LiveTV sub-menu screen?

This way you can go LiveTv, hit enter, enter & it plays. At present its go in go down arrow to play, enter.
