i was just looking at my main menu and noticed theres a lot of buttons, it would be cool if you could group things together like have a menu called DVD and in this you had

---------------    ---------------------------------------
|Get DVD Info  |   |                                                     |
|Play DVD       |   |                                                     |
|Copy DVD      |   |                   DVD info                       |
|  Play DVD     |   |   (like how media player does this        |
|  from HDD     |   |                                                     |
----------------  |                                                      |
                        -----------------------------------------

ok my ascii art needs work, but the basic idea menu on the side and dvds info in the middle, this could work for other things like music, play mp3s, play cds, rip cd, net radio etc

cool looks like most ppl want them, any word if they are going to be implemented? would raise a few problems, just depends how the plugins work since it would be best to do it like the weather plugin, where the submenu items are displayed together, like forecast as a option then current, map etc

that wud make it really difficult but produce the best results

hey sub are you going to implement this in the next release? well partly like put the tv guide/search guide/recordings under one menu? (those are the most important ones i think, and you're probably the only one who could do them, shudnt be that hard either. other ppl cud do dvd/music etc via plugins)

if not when do you expect to implement this?
