They didnt pick a very nice picture for Wellington, but you can almost see the my place. I would have been at the top of the hill at about an inch off the right of photo.

A couple of better pictures:

(you would be able to see my place in this one)

Its quite close to my house, but I dont go on the cable car often (I'm usually in car, on vespa, or on foot). The old cable car is sort of a tourist attraction, though a lot of local people catch it down to the city in the morning and back up in the evening.

Hmmm... I'm happy to see Montreal at #22 but this list has no credibility for me.

I have visited Detroit, Atlanta and St Louis dozens of times and these cities shouldn't be on any "top 100" lists unless you are comparing murder rates.

So many people have moved out of Detroit that it's a virtual ghost town in some areas and houses can be purchased for $5,000.

Atlanta has bone crushing traffic and air pollution so severe that the trees planted along the boulevards die.

Well, it's 100 out of the cities surveyed, not of all cities in the world.

The problem I have is another - when you live in one of the satellite cities of a large city, I guess some of the parameters are similar to the mother city and there is influence, but some things are very different.

But, whichever way - I moved 2 years ago from a satellite city of a city ranked #105 to a satellite of city ranked #15. Can't be bad... Smile

I'll agree with Geneva as #2. We lived there for a couple years and loved it. It's a really nice place but very very expensive.

I don't know about some of the others, tho. I'd rate Kinshasa a lot lower than 207...I've been there, too...

Looks very nice. What is the population? What about the outdoors? Hiking? Mountain biking? etc?
