I use GBPVR .9912 on Windows Vista with an ATI TV Wonder Elite PCI tuner card. I have the latest Catalyst 7.1 drivers installed. I added my card using the config utility and added channels. I use the Zap2It EPG but I keep getting the...

"No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information"

...error message. I did update the EPG, though. It worked after installation, but after restarting my PC, it doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks.

This can be caused by the pain in the butt Vista file protection.

Delete the C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\devnz directory, then try again. Note the AppData directory is normally hidden.

Yours will be a different problem.

In your case, you're getting this error its because you havnt done the channel mapping for each of the channels. Unfortunately there is a complication with doing this on the ATI HDTV Wonder. If you do a forum search for "ATI HDTV Wonder" you'll find infomation about the extra steps you need to do that other ATSC devices dont need to. The ATI HDTV Wonder isnt recommended for use with GB-PVR.

Strang thing.

I'm getting this error after an EPG update (XML file) on my MVP (not sure about PC interface) until I force a restart of the recording service (or reboot the machine). Then all is well.

XP SP2 system with PVR150 and Avermedia m150.

GBPVR 0.99.12

Any ideas?

Its not tha same as the other posts above, but I'm not surprised about this when you're using an MVP. If you're running an MVP, it starts with the recording service, and loads its EPG immediately at startup. If you later load the EPG, you'd either need to restart the MVP process (by restarting the recording service), or wait a couple of hours for it to decide it's cached data is too old and auto reload it.

Thanks for the quick reply, Sub.

Can you tell my why this never happend when I was using Zap2It as my EPG source. I've just noticed this problem when I switched to one of the new XML alternatives to Zap2It.

Thanks, again.
