I've recently picked up a USB-UIRT so that I can setup recordings for digital cable. HIP has learned all the IR codes it needs from my remotes and I've tested them. But now for some reason IR32 isn't receiving any signals via the PVR receiver.

I do not want to use the USB-UIRT device to receive signals, only to transmit. The USB-UIRT will need to be perched on the ceiling so that it can "see" all the devices it needs to conrtrol. The PVR-250 receiver is what I want to use to receive my signals, since it will be right under the TV. I have setup IR32 with an extensive irrremote.ini file which uses HipSend to tell HIP what signals to transmit.

I've also recently added an HVR-1600, although I'm not sure if this has to do with the problem.

Any suggestions are great.

When you installed the HVR1600, it probably disabled the PVR250 IR Receiver. This sort of thing is pretty common when you install multiple Hauppauge devices in one machine.

I'm fairly sure you can usually only use the IR Receiver on the last Hauppauge device installed, but from memory there is some registry settings you can tweak. You'd need to do a forum search for further info though, as its not something I've had to do myself.

Sub, i can never get over how quickly you respond to posts or all these little tips you know that you've never had to use.

I found the tweak you were talking about by simply searching google. For anyone else who needs it heres the link.
