Desktop Tower Defense

It is hard to pull myself away.

"Creeps" come from one end of the screen and try to pass thru to the other in waves of about 20 (plus bosses), you set up a guantlet of weapons to kill them before they get across (you can set up a guantlet or force them through your maze). You can let as many as 20 through before the game ends. You get money from killing them to buy new stationary weapons or upgrade your old ones.

The leaderboard can also be grouped, so you can enter gbpvr and compare your scores with other users. You can also click on someone else's username and see what formation their using.

If you start on easy, you only have one wave of ten coming from left to right. Once you're on normal you have waves coming from both the left and the top.

Opps. I wasn't really attempting to herald the collapse of capitalism :o

It seems like the game would get old before it actually does, but once you beat it, even on the hard version, there's still plenty more to try, and a very persistant urge to experiment. Even beyond upping your score, I have yet to build a maze that allows no escape (once I got all but one, but mostly I lose at least 5). Most of the time I budget in advance for the loss of the last two bosses (blasted spawn). Next weekend I'll probably try again.

Nice to see some scores up on the board, for others, don't forget to enter gbpvr under the group name.

Looks like you managed a error free game. I have yet to do that. Best game ever, I still had one of the last flying bosses get past me.

I invested heavily in the upgrade of air defense towers but I guess you can see that from the map since I didn't sell anything at the end. Does selling stuff and finishing with more gold give more points?

The only thing I'm sure gets you more points (besides killing more stuff) is sending waves early. It adds a bonus you can watch add up (it'll show your score + bonus). In one of my 6000 pt games I made a couple of dumb mistakes, but because I had been rushing waves the entire game, I still finished high.
