OK, started a new thread since Music Albums (MAP) now officially has left the beta stage. The plugin has been e-mailed to sub for publication on this homepage (have not got a good place to store the plugin myself i am afraid)...

For those of you that havent heard about this plugin before - here is a short feature list and a few screenshots:

Feature list version 1.0a

- Play your digital audio in a album manner
- Lists subfolders in a configured path as albums
- Also supports M3U Playlists as albums
- Displays album image and information for current track and album
- Full ID3v1.1 support
- Instant play and/or queue function
- GB-PVR skin support. Control fonts, colors, placement...
- GB-PVR language support (swedish translation sample
included)
- PDF manual (included)
- requires GB-PVR v.0.22

...

Browse your albums

Play a whole album with a single click on the remote
[Image: ma10_2.th.jpg]

Create your own music queue by adding full albums or individual songs

Thanks to the four kind gentlemen sub, tkgafs, johnburton and joecru for your assistance and support!

Hi there,

I can't seem to get this plugin to work properly and I think it's due to the my directory structure. Basically can this plugin only handle a based directory that contains directories with mp3's in? My directory structure looks like:

My Music
  - Artists (A-Z)
      - A,B,C
         - 'Artist 1'
              - 'Album 1'
                    track1.mp3
                    track2.mp3
              - 'Album 2'
          - 'Artist 2'....

If I point the plugin to 'My Music', it displays the 'Artist (A-Z)' directory but nothing happens when the directory is selected. If the plugin is pointed to 'Artist' directory then the plugin works and looks great, but this obviously severly reduces the view. Is this a plugin limitation or something I'm doing?

Thanks, Rob

Edit - Looks like I'm the 2nd one with this question [Image: smile.gif]
Downloaded and installed. A question:

I have my music stored in folder by album within artist. In other words I have a main folder called My Music in which I have a folder for each artist. For example, I have folder called Queen. In the Queen folder are other (album) folders, Queen, Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, etc. Within those folders are the MP3 files. For MAP to work as designed, it appears I would need to have all my album folders in one folder. Is that correct?

Yes, the readme says no recursive folder scanning.

As a work around you could create playlists for each album and move them up to the correct level

I am in the same postion with artist folders which contain sub folders for each album

You are all right, recursive directory scanning did not make it into this first version... But since so many of you seem to need it, my plan is to have it as a option for the next version.
