Ok, ive read the wiki page, as well as the read me's and I cant get it to Work.

I finally got Zprocess to automatically start by replacing the postprocessing.bat with the Zprocesspostprocess.bat that came with zprocess

now this is what i want and i cant seem to get it.
1)xvid avi compression
2)comskiped and DELETED
3) if possible: renamed to the "show - season#Xepisode# episode name.avi"

now the problems im haveing is
a) the default profile that seems to be set if i manually open zprocess is trans2mvp. I want the default to be "2avi" everytime. especially since i dont have this mediaMPV crap.

b) the commercials have not been working correctly, it plays to the commercials and then freezes,
c) the quallity is crappy, i have it set on avi 640x480 with mpeg4 (mpeg2 and 1 are always blank video) at 1250bitrate

What do i need to do to make the commercials actually work?

and in addition, i followed exactly what the zprocess instructions say on Wiki,
am i supposed to ALSO follow the instructions in the zprocessREADME?
do i still need to manually change the postprocessing.bat file or anything else?
do i leave the configurations for GBPVR blank?
i also keep getting different error messages, sometimes its a runtime error 56,
and i just got an error 70:permission Denied

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

Did you turn off all the processing in the gbpvr-config-processing tab?

Edit: One more: Do you still have gbpvr installed in C:\program files\gbpvr instead of : C:\program files\devnz\gbpvr?

yes, i turned off all comskip and auto transcode options in the processing tab of GBPVR

and I also did a clean install into the default directory, so curretly, everthing is in the default programfiles/devnz/GBPVR folder

Update: I just recorded 3 shows to test, one hourlong show, and two 30min, both of the 30min shows were back to back and durring the same time as the 1hour show (I have a dual tuner)

zProcess automatically started, and made an avi file for each show, however, when i played the files in Windows media player,
the commercials were not cut,
the hour long show didnt play, just had blank screen, and then froze
and both of the 30min shows said they could not download the right codec file turned red, but then the video played
(dont know what that is about, i checked, it said xvid codec, but i have the codec for xVid as well as Divx)

Does whatever commercial cut program that you use write the file as a different name which then is not processed by zprocess? Look in one of the dirs that got processed. Are there mpg and avi files in there?

no im simply using comskip and comclean (well trying to) i have a separate directory for mpeg (originally recorded) and the avi (transcoded/converted)
they are all named the same thing

Sorry for the delay, although it appears you were treated well :-)

I'm taking a stab as you haven't zipped and attached the logs or shown your PostProcessing.bat but...

The problem is simply the command line. assuming that you have everything installed in defaults, comskip, comclean, ffmpeg (or other transcoder if you're using it...)

I would test things to be sure it will work. First open a mpg file you want to process, on the File Tab, click comclean, comskip and transcode, click process and watch to be sure it's working. Definetly look at the logs or send them to us, and look at the finished product. If your'e not happy here, you won't be happy in the post processing

The sample batch file is perfect. download it into the gbpvr folder and rename it to PostProcessing.bat

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...ng.bat.txt

If you have problems, zip and attach logs, inlcuding your postprocessing.bat and postprocessing.log

I have described what to look for in this post:

Also, please include in the zip, your postprocessing.bat and postprocessing.log found in your gbpvr directory

here they are, and yes, i have had this problem countless times

i have had problems with the video processing, and then having blocky/bad quality output
"error downloading codec"
and simple unusable, blank video that does not play

for this transcode the commandprompt screen displayed some error:
"TS <0 is going to be changed to 0, you will have problems viewing the video" ~simular to that (it shows it during zprocess-comclean)

then when the window bar of zProcess switches to ffmpeg again, it has a bunch of MV with ## errors

We have to go back to the beginning. Since you have still not sent me the PostPrcoessing.bat and PostProcess.log, I can only assume that they are fine. But to go back to the beginning, we will not work with PostProcessing for a long bit.

Step 1, grab version 1005 from this post. Do not try to use it with PostProcess.bat...

Copy the ZProcess.exe file over top the old, and then run the RemoveAllZProcess.reg file. This will kill all ZProcess settings...

Step2 Disable PostProcessing in GB-PVR. All you need to do is rename the file to something other that PostProcessing.bat.

Step 3 Start ZProcess 1005, answer the few questions at the start. Do not manually change any settings... at all

Step 4, Lots of single steps...

Now, load a MPG file. Click the Utilities tab. (Only change the framerate to 2500 if you live in PAL land - don't change any other setting - Click write2 ini if you changed the framerate)

Click 'Do Comskip'. Does it finish? Does it play in GB-PVR? Can you tell there is a valid Comskip text file?

Next Click 'Do Comclean'. Does it finish? Does it look right?

Close ZProcess. Do not pass go unless these two steps work right. If they don't get help...

Step 5 Open ZProcess, Load the file you want to transcode to avi (the MPG we just worked on)

Click the Transcode tab, click '2avi profile', and click Start.

Does it finish? How does it look? (Scratch that. I don't care yet. Just worried if it finished.)

Zip and attach the three logs AND finally send me the PostProcessing.bat and log that you were trying to work with earlier...

Also, I may not be able to continue to the next step for a day or so... have patience
