I am having trouble when viewing ota digital tv in that after switching channels maybe four or five times then the audio will get out of synch and I will have to exit back to the menu and get back to viewing tv to fix it. Also, I switched to using timeshifting mode and it seems that the audio starts off way out of synch sometimes as well, in that case I have to exit completely out of gbpvr and turn off the time shift mode or enable the live preview mode.

So with that being the situation what audio decoder seems to work best for most people here? I've used cyberlink and nvidia before. The cyberlink decoder seemed to do better but the problem cropped up every now and then. I also heard that there is a microsoft patch that addresses this problem but you have to call them before they will let you download it.

This was a problem for me, until I chose a different audio renderer, not decoder. The directsound renderer cleared up my problem.

i still have that problem with vmr modes and a barely able to keep up video card..Smile
quick fix is to just ff/rw once to get it to sync back up..
[sometimes pause then play works also]
if it gets too out of sync on mine, i lose audio altogether..then i have to restart watching..
try overlay or vmr7 and see if that doesn't help it..
i use the dscaler audio decoder with default renderer..
