A few days ago my dad was up, so I installed GB-PVR for him. Today I get a call to tell him where to get the weather plug in at. I also walk him through how to use GB-PVR and such. Thing is we ran in to a small issue when trying to play the movie cars. The movie was upside down and backwards. He tried a different movie and it worked fine. He then closed GB-PVR and went in to the HDD and started Cars from in there. The movie played fine doing it straight from the HDD. Has anyone had this happen before or know a whats wrong and how to fix it.

You may find it'll help to switch the video renderer to Overlay. If not that, it'll some how be related to the video decoder being used when you're playing that specific file type.

It'll be either related to your video card drivers or the video decoder you're using.

Try switching video renderers. You may find your machine copes better with the overlay renderer.

If it's divx, then try deleting the divx codec and re-installing. this fixed my issue the other day.

The same video files works fine when i play them with Windows Media Player but on GBPVR it's backwards and upside down. What do you mean when you video renderers? Where do I find that?

you find the video and audio renderer settings in the config.exe app. Sub is suggestings that you try moving from VMR/VMR custom to overlay.

Yeh aXXo's files are great!

I'll try that once I get home and I'll let you know what happens. Thanks again all.

I changed the video renderer to custom but the problem persists. I also reinstalled the ffdshow codecs but still no luck. Any other suggestions?
