Hi all.
I am new in this area. So you know. Smile

I have the following configuration
GBPVR 99.12
WinTV PVR150-MCE
FloppyDTV-c MCE with Conax 4.00e
cable subscription smartcard of Comhem in Sweden
MVP extender

I have a problem relating to GBPVR and the FloppyDTV. It is not able to tune in the cable channels. I get a black/frozen screen, and a message saying that no signal is received (even though strength and quality are fine).

I have tested the FloppyDTV-c with myTheatre and there it works perfectly.
Integration with the PVR150 works fine.

I have to use VMR9 Custom (VMR9 only gives a back screen)

Now, and this is the weird part: After I have used the myTheatre on a channel of my subscription, the GBPVR is able to show that particular channel and some more afterwards, but not all.

So it seems to be that somehow GBPVR and the FloppyDTV goes out of synch.
I have tried with different versions of the BDA drivers, but the same problem is there.
I attach a log file just in case somebody can take a look, and maybe give me some hint in which direction to look further. There is a tuning error message at some place.
Thanks!
Stefan

I saw some mentioning of that GBPVR does not support CAM. Is that relevant here even though the CAM is integrated to the FireDTV?
It would then be quite natural that the FireDTV manages the CAM and the smartcard for decrypt. That was what I first thought.
Any thoughts?
After surfing around a bit, maybe this is the way to go?

Sorry, there is no CAM support at this stage.

Unfortunately there is a lot more required than that. The app has to regularly inform the CAM of certain information for decryption to take place. This isnt happening, so the channels are not decrypted.

Thats what I'm doing on my FireDTV DVB-C.

Hi Sub (and others)
Need a little bit more help..
I followed the instructions on that link. I still get no picture.

I set the AD-teknik smart card reader to phoenix and 3.58 MHz in the config tool.
I have configured NewCS card server, the Yankse plugin and the plugin api.
To the extent of my knowledge.

I first thought that there was a communication error between Yankse and NewCS because nothing appears in the NewCS log when Yankse should be talking to it. I would expect something to show up.
I made NewCS not to accept incoming connection from the localhost, just to see if some message appeared of access denied. Which happened.

I attach logs in the zip from newCS and Yankse. Is something missing or wrong?

In the main gbpvr log I see massively repeated rows like:
2007-04-30 04:01:04.687 VERBOSE [1] LiveTVStreamPlayer.OnClick()
2007-04-30 04:01:04.687 VERBOSE [1] Encrypted channel...check if we can try reinit (count: 0)
2007-04-30 04:01:05.656 VERBOSE [1] Encrypted channel...check if we can try reinit (count: 1)
2007-04-30 04:01:06.656 VERBOSE [1] Encrypted channel...check if we can try reinit (count: 2)
2007-04-30 04:01:07.687 VERBOSE [1] Encrypted channel...check if we can try reinit (count: 3)

Thanks for eny help in some direction.
Please just ask if there is more information I can give you.
Regards,
Stefan

Sorry, this is sort of crossing the grey fuzzy line into the discussions I dont want on the GB-PVR forums.

Your best bet is to check you've got your multidec plugins working in some other app (myTheatre, ProgDVB etc), then copy them into the GB-PVR MDPlugins directory. Their are other forums like http://dvbn.happysat.org that discuss the details of getting these types of plugin working.

I understand and respect that.
And it was just a simple config error. It is working perfectly now.
However, I saw that the comhem.ini config file lacks some frequencies where there are digital channels. I can send you an update of that file, if you need it.

Yeah - send it over to support@devnz.com. Thanks.
