Logs attached:

Basically I get no response from the MVP after the first few button presses

This even happens every 2 minutes if I don't touch anything?!

The logs say:
MVP data taking too long, connection must have been dropped!

Anyone running Vista experienced this?

Anyone? I can't figure this out without a little help deciphering the log file...

I can't be the only one dealing with this?

To be honest, I havent tested an MVP on Vista yet so I cant really provide you much feedback. Unfortunately the log just says something to the effect of 'the MVP disconnected for some unknown reason'.

You should make sure you have this patch installed though: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...stcount=31

Wouldn't I have all your patches if I have a fresh download (yesterday)?

I presume you are using the standard dongle. You need to try version 1.1.52 which can be downloaded from here

C2Duo E8400, 4GB, GE8600GT, PCH A-100, HVR2200, NPVR 1.5.31, Win 7 x64.

I tried that dongle as well as 24125b, 24257b, 24338, 25011, 25022, 25032, all of them had the same problem described above.
The only one that came close to solving the problem was the mvpmc dongle 20070427, but it is a bit buggy as well.

Any other suggestions? Where are all the Vista users? Do you think that there is something within Vista which is restricting/delaying access long enough to stall the MVP?

There are a few lurking but not too many. Lindsay above is using his MVP on Vista.

I'm using Vista exclusively right now, I'm not a typical because I do this for mvpmc testing, but in any case my problems really have been minor.

1 - I usually use sleep mode and every once in a while the Hauppauge drivers need to be started from a restart.

2- I had to use setting in config.xml <MvpHighPriority>false</MvpHighPriority>
with true I had stutering.

3. Twice the Windows firewall started blocking again solved by a reboot

4. I usually start using gbpvr's config.exe as administrator, and I use it to autostart 2 mvp sessions.

For mvpmc

- make sure you use my alpha and not the nightly.

- mvpmc performance seems to be questionable until the gbpvr screen saver starts when emulation starts.
