Sub,

Is there any way to control or adjust the speed of fast forward or rewind on the MVP?

Mine goes so fast it's almost impossible to stop it at the point you want (always overshoots by miles)

Sub, if I enabled mvpmc's access to the hardware accelerated ffwd on the mvp, can gbpvr keep up?

GB-PVR would be able to keep up, but I'm pretty sure you'd be better off just using the current the I-Frame based solution.

I would have to keep FF logic as it is since this mode will just be play as far as gbpvr is concerned. I'll just enable a "Go" FF option to turn this on and any key will turn it back to play.

Thanks,

I know it isn't FFWD, but I set mine up for time skip and found it IMMENSELY better than FFWD on the Hauppauge remote.
It may just be mine, but the FFWD goes forward 10 secionds, and the RWD seems to rewind 8 seconds. I can get anywhere I want this way. The RWD and FFWD are SUPPOSED to be the same time period (10 seconds, I think), but mine has just enough of a delay somewhere in the mix that it works out great.
My Replay and Skip buttons are set for Skip 1 minute and Replay 30 seconds. Also set up this way, if you press <any number> Skip it skips that number of minutes, and <any number> Replay, it rewinds that number of minutes. I think that is a default with the controller.
With the use of the time skipping method, plus a well setup COMSKIP, there isn't anywhere I cant get in a video within three or four clicks.

And you can type a number of mins followed by skip and it will skip that amount of mins.Smile
