Hi!

Strange things happen when I hit the yellow button on my Hauppauge NOVA-T 500 remote during Live TV. After the button has been pressed Live TV will no longer work, even after reboots.

By "no longer working", I should be more specific. I get an error message (looks like a caught exception) saying something about shared memory and "this is often a sign other memory is corrupt" Sad

The only way to make Live TV work is to enable timeshifting in the config!

Luckily I've made frequent restore points during my various stages of setting up my PVR so I can always go back and restore to a point that works Smile

I'm presuming the yellow button makes a permanent config change, so without diffing the config xml before and after (which is my next step), does anyone know what this button does?

Is this paraphrasing the famous Inuit saying?

from irremote.ini
YELLOW={ctrl}Y

according to keyboard ref,ctrl-y is only used during dvd-playback.

does the problem reproduce when you do CTRl-Y?

On my setup, ctrl Y toggles subtitles on/off. I use the SRT viewer.
