This is the new thread for the scan skin as it has undergone a major change since the last version.

I'm not going to list changes, because almost everything has changed. It now works with the new version of GB-PVR and uses a lot of the skinability that the new version has added.

It looks very nice, but there's a small bug in the TV Guide. The two first lines in the description covers the 4th row in the guide.

Also, it looks like the background picture is in 256 colours on the tv-out on my PVR-350, the 'sun burst' effect looks like some rough circles inside eachother.

From your screenshot - I think you need a little more space between the word "characters" and the line beneath it - that is to say, the task description needs to be more centered in the top banner area.

Odd, as I have mine setup with four channels... and don't get this. If you go into the scan folder and then tv guide right click on the skin.xml and choose edit. Find selectedtimetitle and selectedtimedesc change the second number in locs (currently 310 and 325) to make them fit. Could you also post a screen shot so I can see if anything funny's happening (well something funny's already happening, but something beyond what you describe).

Did this happen with the old version if you had tried that in the past? I don't use tv-out on my 350 so I can't confirm this, but I also doubt that there is a lot I can do about it as its probably due to the limited display of tv's.

Partly solved already - the screenshots slightly old. Thanks for your contribution though..

Just out of curiosity, are skins compatible with earlier versions of GB-PVR?

What I mean is, they have more stuff in them now than before, but would this "extra" stuff be gracefully disregarded by an earlier version of GB-PVR?

(I've linked this thread from the SkinScan page in the wiki.)

This is what it looks like:

I'll edit it later ('cos I like to have 8 channels on the screen), but it's very strange if it's only happening on my computer.

I only tried it in this version, and I'm using the tv-out from my video card now (the pvr-350 isn't too stable), I just noticed it and thought it looked strange. As far as I know the pvr-350 should be able to show more than 256 colours.

presumebly you tried it with the tv-out of the 350 and then moved to the video cart's tv-out; in which case i haven't got a clue... apart from what i already said about tv's and bad quality...

I think the reason this may be happening to you with 4 channels is due to your logo's being bigger than mine (or at least they appear that way). Unfortunatly it is still not possible to make the position of the description relative to the bottom of the channel guide so its changing it manually I'm afraid. This applies to anyone with this overlap problem...
