Enable channels

I have selected my tuner and have Zap2it setup. All channels show up but they are not "enabled". If I try to schedule recording, I get an error message about a conflict. I realize I am a novice. I could use some help.

I'm not aware of any DVB-T service in the US. Do you mean ATSC?

It sounds like you havnt done the 'map digital channels to EPG channels' part. When you do this it'll scan for channels, then you'll map them to your EPG channels. Any channels not mapped will be automatically disabled - which is what you're seeing.

I have it set for BDA recording and have selected the proper tuner, Pinnacle PCTV HD Prostick (USB). It is an ATSC tuner;however, the cable is analog. If I update Zap2it, I see all the proper channels but they are not enabled. There are no digital channels to map. I am new to this...are there any logs I could post? If so, how do I find them? Thank you

Did you hit the 'map digital channels to EPG channels' button? If so, what happened.

Yes, and it found no channels

Do it again, then zip and attach your config.exe-native.log.

What version of Windows are you on? Vista?

Have you seen the device working with any other software on your machine (so you can be sure of adequate signal strength, working drivers etc)?

Yes, sir...it works with the Pinnacle Studio bundled with the tuner and also Nero Home. The reason I'm interested in GB-PVR is for the EPG. The guide bundled with Pinnacle offers no search capability and I can't seem to get and XmlTV guide for Nero. Thank you for all you kind assistance.

Sorry, I dont know really know.

If it cant find any channels during the channel scan, then its not going to work. This is a pretty critical step.

I've rechecked the logs and all seems fine there. Are you sure no other software is holding on to the device? Some apps have background processes that can hog the device.
