I have seen a number of people have problems with the installation of ePSXe causing an exception error to be thrown.

After removing gamezone and ePSXe completely from my system, I can confirm this is an issue with gamezone and not the one I thought it was when I responded to people previously.

How did this come about? I have somehow managed to delete the "browse" button for the bios, AND it does not say in the installation window that you need to set the BIOS, although it does mention it in the wiki; all in all a confusing situation for everyone.
The ePSXe configuration does ask that you set the BIOS but this is not enough you must also set the BIOS path and filename in the GameZone configuration settings BEFORE you click on OK. As a workaround you can type or copy n paste the path and file name into the BIOS textbox and this will complete the configuration until I release a fix in version 1.2

Note that ALL the items in the Mandatory section which includes the BIOS textbox must be completed.

Same Error with Version 1.3 ... cant get it working. Unhappy Sad

i delete the entries in the registry, run the gbpvr config app, configured the epsxe part in the gamezone plugin,
run the epsxe config out of the gamezone plugin, skip the epsxe config-wizard, exit epsxe, exit the gamezone plugin,
exit the config app, run it again and get the same error ?!?

This is everyting which is in the registry after it :

Code:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\epsxe]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\epsxe\config]
"Version"="67072"

After deleting the registry epsxe part again i run the gbpvr config app again, going into the gamezone plugin,
change to the epsxe part and everything is unconfigured again .....

i configured the path to the exe and the bios again, click on ok, exit the gbpvr config app and start it again.
all settings in the epsxe part in the gamezone plugin are empty again .....

It seems that the gamezone plugin didnt saved changes for the epsxe part ???

EDIT:

I always forgot to set the "epsxe enabled" checkbox ... then he saved the setting ...

When epsxe is already the the registry, the config app crashed while loading ...
If you add the this 2 lines, the config app can start :

Code:
"ePSXePath"="C:\\Programme\\ePSXe\\"
"ePSXeENA"="True"

Is it possible that the gamezone plugin cant handle it, if it found some epsxe settings in the registry
and these 2 line above not ?????

The two additional registry settings are written to the registry when you have provided the information and have enabled epsxe. You should not have to add any lines to the registry manually. I am quite confused at the steps you have performed and the order. I need to understand the order and the steps so that I replicate the issue, without them I cant do anything.

Please provide clear steps to cause the issue.

Thanks

i already had installed epsxe and as i put these two line shown above into the registry manually, the config app didnt crash while loading ....

the other way was, deleting everything from epsxe out of the registry, configured the epsxe part in the gamezone plugin and enable it. after all i re-importet my previous epsxe settings and everything is fine too.

but i think this two lines have to be there, when something is already from
epsxe in the registry, otherwise the config app crashed while loading ....

I will look at it when I get chance, if you provide clear steps I may look at it sooner.

Thanks
