as the title says...
all the menus of xrecord are a blank screen.
when you first go to xrecord, the "ready" is populated, but if you change screens, they are all empty.
you cannot even go back to "ready"

I suspect that there are going to need be some coding and skinning changes done to plugins for 1.0.8. It may take a few days for this to occur, depending on fla's work load. In the meantime, please file a bug report at the following site, so that we can keep track of the issue:

Some additonal questions. Are you trying to use the new advanced graphics engine, or the standard gbpvr.exe? Also have you tried switching back to the blue skin and seeing if the same problem occurs?

the old UI seems to work fine.
it is the new UI that has the surprises.

I just installed 1.08 on my dev system and also got the blank screen problem in XRecord. Selecting the buttons after moving to them seems to populate the screen. XGuide doesn't work at all. Sounds like XSuite will need work in the new version...

Have you copied those plugin files into a sub-folder under the plugins directory(You can name it whatever you like)?

It is a requirement for the new UI.

Thanks for the tip Fatman_do. I actually had a zero byte zapdb.db3 file which was causing problems.

I couldn't exit from XGuide by pressing Esc. The beta version on the wiki now has a fix to allow exiting from XGuide in gbpvr 1.08. The needsRendering() method in XGuide was always returning true instead of its computed value and this was causing gbpvr 1.08 to keep trying to deactivate it. Keep an eye out for refresh problems in XGuide.

I can't get Xsearch to show up at all, no matter what skin/dll goes where. Any clues?

Did you put the XSearch plugin in a subdirectory of the plugins directory like Fatman_do said two replies back? The installer hasn't been updated to the new version yet.

Yes, made a folder called "Legacy", and put the plugins in there.
What skin parts need to go into which place?
I have "skin" and now "skin2"...
