I knew that, I was wondering if you were referring to something in our output.

I was just saying that we could probably add that marker to the title in our output if Jim didn't think he could get to it quick enough. We've swamped him with several changes already.

That single feature is a huge one for me.... I like all the extra stuff Jim_ puts in, but I hope you guys can add that New Show asterix soon...

Good pt, that would be a very very simple thing to do. Good call.

Just switched from zap2it-Ixmltv to YahooXMLtv-I-xmltv. Had to fix the duplicate channels but the guide looks good and i am thankful for you guys helping us out with both of these tools.

I did have one question, I am using the full feature command line in the UpdateEpg.bat but I looked at my pending recordings and I only see one recording going to happen on Monday. I have scheduled all the recurring schedules with a "*" so I am just trying to figure out how to figure out why alot of my shows are not pending. Example "Rescue Me*" I show it in the recurring as above, and then so I did a test looked at the guide and scheduled it again for the season, and now it shows up as pending, but both entrys inthe Recurring look the same. Hmmmm got any ideas on what to look at??

got weird forum database error too.

think the issue is database related due to left over channels in my database and not related to "I-xmltv updated for YahooXMLTv"

Going to export my Recurring season recordings and then get a new database.

Hello Jim_,
I've been using your I-XMLTV with the YahooGoTV utility and it has added much to the usefulness of the TVGuide and for scheduling recordings Unfortunately the YahooGoTV has been shortening the time span of the guide they produce (now just two days worth) so has now lost it's usefulness.

I have found the 'new' zap2xml scraper (see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=28897) and it works as is for GB-PVR ((and this scraper is VERY fast indeed))
It produces output like the following...
------------------------------------------
<programme start="20070916000000 -0400" stop="20070916013000 -0400" channel="I2.labs.zap2it.com">
<title lang="en">American Masters</title>
<sub-title lang="en">Tony Bennett: The Music Never Ends</sub-title>
<desc lang="en">Singer Tony Bennett.</desc>
<date>1993</date>
<category lang="en">Movie</category>
<episode-num system="dd_progid">EP00000288.0159</episode-num>
<video><quality>HD</quality></video>
<new />
</programme>
-------------------------------------------

How would I take advantage of the "<new />" tag to show, on the TV Guide, that the program is new -and maybe even to instruct the recordings to only record 'new' episodes?

Thanks a lot,
TomH

Hi,
I just signed up for Schedules Direct, unpacked the xmltv.[exe|dtd] files, downloaded I-xmltv and am having troubles following the multiple sets of directions.

(1) The wiki page says to click '--configure.bat'. When I do this and click return in the command-line window, it skips right past any user interaction and ends with "The system cannot find the batch label specified - eof"

(2) The "1st Readme First" file says to
"Run Configure...
Remember to use +0000 for time zone and your schedules direct password
Choose your lineup, then wait for first download to complete..."
but I have no chance to input these values

(3) Finally, "ReadMe-Now.txt says to
"Edit UpdateEPG.bat (using Notepad) and choose the DaysOfEPG= you desire, and change /tn/-6 to reflect your actual timezone offset (in hours). "
But elsewhere it says I need to *create* UpdateEPG.bat, so how can I "choose" or "change" anything?

What am I missing?

Here is what I have for UpdateEPG.bat
Make sure you rename your xml guide to tvguide.xml

Code:
echo Adding extra I-XMLTV data
echo . >>I-xmltv.log
echo %Date% %Time% >>I-xmltv.log

SET MVSwitches=/md/() /mr/[] /m#/[]
SET TVSwitches=/sx /oe /se/ - /dd/() /df/Y-M-D /gd/1 /ni/* /tn/-8

Copy tvguide.xml Temp-EPG.xml
I-xmltv Temp-EPG.xml %MVSwitches% %TVSwitches%
move I-xmltv.XML tvguide.xml

I-xmltv /CC
MOVE I-xmltv.XML FIND.xml
del Temp-EPG.xml

You can locate the UpdateEPG.bat file at
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\

If one does not exist you simply open a new notepad file and copy and paste the above code into notepad and save the file as UpdateEPG.bat and save it to C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\

you can click on the bat file after saving it and I-XMLTV.exe will enhance the data automatically.

The /tn/-8 is the timezone for Pacific so if your time is off you will need to adjust that switch.

maybe the info will help new members... I didn't realize this post was so old hehe

good luck newbies!
