No live tv

Hi guys hope you can help.
New user to GBPVR, using Hauppauge HVR 4000, Vista Home Prem.
When I start Gbpvr can get no live tv, tells me no channels are set up & to update the EPG, which I think I've done countlesss times, with both DVB & xmltv sources.
I get preview channel displays when mapping to EPG, have updated EPG from both mapping & source list, exit config via OK button from all screens.
TV display works ok with both Cyberlink power cinema & Win Media Ctr.
Not included logs etc @ this point as I'm sure I'm missing some thing silly.

The forum is littered with posts about the need to stop some services in MCE because the MCE services hog the TV device and GBPVR can't get access. You may have the same issue.

Try searching for MCE service stop or somesuch.

This is vista file protection getting in the way.

Delete "c:\users\<your name>\AppDate\Local\VirtualStore\Program files\devnz\gbpvr.db3", then try running the config app as administrator to setup your capture source. After that you should be fine. They "AppData" directory is hidden, but there.
