It can be downloaded from http://www.gbpvr.com/Setup005.exe

2003-12-14 v0.0.5
- Setup programme now restarting Hauppauge IR so remote works without manual restart
- Hide disabled channel's icon from TV Guide
- In the TV Guide, Skip Foward and Back now move one day through the guide with each press
- Initial Hauppauge MediaMVP support.
- Added LiveTV - Currently a little *unstable*. This will be improved in the coming releases. Full range of playback controls (skip forward etc) not currently implemented.
- Manual recording still not functional - sorry! LiveTV took priority.
- Stopped screen save from showing while video is playing
- Added Icon view to music and video libraries. If a folder contains a folder.png file, it will be shown as the folder icon.
- Change the way the skin's settings are listed in the XML files to be more consistent, and make it easier to maintain in future. Should also make it easier to create new skins in future.
- enable direct access to Hauppauge remote for PVR350 installation (so GBPVR doesn't have to be in foreground to receive remote control events)
- improved transparency on PVR350. Video no longer dims when showing OSD.
- pressing the GREEN button (or ctrl-G) when watching LiveTV will bring up the Mini Guide. This will show a list of whats currently on the other channels and change to the channel of your choice.

I'll admit in advance that this release is a little rough around the edges, but implementing Live TV and support for the Media MVP were quite big steps.

My focus on the next couple of releases will be stability. I really want everything to be super reliable. This will mean focusing heavily on the features that are already in place, and making them rock solid.

Hai everybody,

Sub just gave me the link to this great application-under-construction. I already set it up as default when I press the green button.

Except for some flaws in the soft, on which I will report after playing with it for a couple of days, there is one thing I can not get to work. I have the EPG data in an XML file, but the TVGuide does not list them. The EPG Source in the Capture Sources screen points to it. What am I doing wrong?

I put the EPG in a ZIP. It is here:

Welcome aboard eurojojo!

When you first add a capture source, you need to close out of the configuration application to force it to save the config. Then restart the configure app, go back into the capture source settings and click the update EPG to pull in the EPG data. I've tried it with your files and it seems to work fine. I'll make this a little simpler in upcoming releases.

Give it a go and let me know how you get on.

I can't get video to display on my PC monitor with VMR... when I try and play an mpeg file I get "Invalid Pointer" and then "RenderFileToVMR9 failed" - if I change to VMR7 I get the same message (i.e. RenderFileToVMR7...) and if I change to overlay it works.

The VMR9 setting worked in 004...

Also - I can't get live TV at all... when I click "Live TV" I get a copy of WinTVCap running with the parameters
[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]-c1 -board:1 -profileBig GrinVD -startr:c:\livetv-0.mpg
and no output on the monitor.

Music and video icon displays look good though!

Cheers,
Andy

Thats a bit of step backwards... Did the last release playback fine with VMR for you?

Can you try something to help me narrow down the problem? Try starting graphedit, and adding the filter called "GB-PVR Reader" and when prompted select the a video file. Right click on the outpin and select Render. Does a video window open and playback correctly?

Last release worked fine - also I've followed the graphedit route and that works fine too. Renders as follows:

It picks up the Sonic Cinemaster decoders rather than the Hauppauge ones, but replacing Sonic with Hauppauge works fine too.

VMR9 worked on v004.

I suspected it may by my new reader filter, but if the graph works fine then its not that.

If you change the preferred decoder in the Config app, does it make a difference?
