I noticed this with GBPVR and PVRX2. Even with the volume all the way up, I still have to turn the volume up to hear programs (Live TV, recorded programs, whatever).

The problem with having the speakers turned up occurs when using any other Windows program. EVERYTHING IS WAY TOO LOUD.

Can I set the volume of GBPVR to be louder in the config files or somewhere?

Thanks

I've tried setting it to both Master and Local via GBPVR config and don't notice any difference. I have GBPVR volume up all the way and still have to turn up the external speaker volume manually in order to hear. All other Windows sounds are then WAY TOO LOUD.

I have the same issue. Is this possibly related to the tuners (PVR-150) or their drivers? Any thoughts?

I use the HDHomerun dual tuners...so I don't think it's related to the tuners.

The same recordings played back in Windows Media Player sound fine.

make sure the 'internal' volume is at a decent level,it's seperate than the master volume and can be independantly controlled..
i use master vol. for my remote volume, but left/right arrows still controls gbpvr's volume, so i have to make sure it's about 90% max to get a full range of control with remote..
[the gbpvr vol. level shows on osd, the main 'master' volume only shows on mixer]

have you tried different things like video files that ARENT MPEGs? to see if its just your recordings that are quiet? you might have to tweak some settings on your tuner card

AFAIK, there aren't any audio settings for the HDHomerun. The exact same files (recorded from the tuner via GBPVR) sound just fine in other media apps (such as Windows Media Player). Only GBPVR seems to have the reduced volume. I'll try non-MPEG recordings later today and see if they are affected as well.
