iMON VFD Plugin for anyone looking to display information on the iMON VFD. Specifically, I use this plugin to display on the iMON VFD in a Silverstone case. I requires no outside LCD controller, all the information is written directly to the LCD.

The plugin will display a default message (which can be set by the user on the config page) while GBPVR is running. I will also display currently playing video, audio, liveTV, and DVD information.

I plan to add functionality for more control over scrolling of text, display when recordings are occurring, and potentially the ability to display to time in the default screen.

This plugin is compatible with v1.0.8 and will install in it's own directory. If you are using < v1.0 then copy the .dll file from the iMONVFD folder to your plugins folder. Also copy the SG_VFD.dll file to your windows\system32 directory.

EDIT: The v0.81 located on page 3 of this thread is compatible with v1.0.16 PVRX2. (1 Sep 07)

EDIT: New Wiki entry for plugin-all new versions and source code will be posted here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...ion=browse

Open GBPVR config and click the plugins tab. Once you highlight the iMONVFD plugin, the settings button should be enabled. You can change the default message (this info is then stored in the config.xml file).

The scrolling is working as currently programed. I should scroll the entire message once and then stop. I thought it was much too distracting. That being said, an updated version will be out this week that will allow you to choose no scrolling, one scroll and stop, or continuous scrolling for the non-default lines.

Here is the newest version. It includes the ability to change how the 1st line is scrolled (speed and number of times). To configure the plugin, open GBPVR config and click the plugins tab. Highlight iMONVFD and click settings.

I will look into it, I am fairly new at the C# thing so it may take some time to workout the code.

Here is an updated version with some HD polling added. You can set it up on the configuration page and it will tell you when you have less than the specified amount of space on the specified drive. For about two minutes it will scroll a message with the actual free space on the drive and then it will flash between the normal line two text and "Low HD Space" warning. This will continue until you fix the space issue. Hope this is close to the functionality you were wanting.

I have tried lcdsmartie etc and your sounds like it will be the best. (will find out when I get home to test it).

There is one question/suggestion. I have been looking for one that also includes the ability to use the graphic equalizer that the iMon software currently uses. Do you think it is possible to integrate something similar. I'm afraid I know almost zilch on C#.
