Went on holiday for a week - came back - now missing program info for two channels (UK DVB-T Channel 4 and ITV4) - I record a lot from Channel 4 Sad .

Missing channels are on the same multiplex and are recognised by rescan (can still manually record from them and watch the recordings) but not picked up by DVB EPG reload. They still appear in the TV Guide, but at the bottom and with no prog info. Logs show for the affected multiplex (after the 60 sec scan) the radio channels being rejected as unrecognised, and the rest of the TV channels being accepted, but no sign of the missing channels. Freeview STBs still display prog info for the affected channels. Settings in gbpvr.db3 tie in with the situation - channel info is there but program info is not.

I'm sort of stuck now... :o

There was another thread about this the other day.

Apparently Channel4 etc are currently only transmitting the now/next show info in their mux, rather than several days of listings you normally get. They are however transmitting their full listings on one of the other mux frequencies. The current version of GB-PVR is unable to use these channel listings from the other mux, and expects listings to be on the same mux frequency as the channel, but the next version has been has been updated to accommodate this.

ACTCMS - if you're still online, zip and post your config.exe and config.exe-native log files. I'm trying to help sub work this one out at the moment. Various UK regions seem to be affected WRT C4 and ITV4 but possibly only at certain times.

Cheers,
Brian

Missed the other thread :o

Presume this is to do with DVB-T putting out all EPG info on each Mux and after the 'changeover' (where all Muxs wil be 64QAM) perhaps they plan to broadcast all EPG info on only one Mux to save space.

I'm not in a position to upgrade yet Sad for a few reasons, but I will. Anyway, problem now solved... Tks Wink

Just to make sure its clear, by next version I mean 1.0.12 (or whatever it ends up being), rather than 1.0.8 that is currently available.

Sorry, I cant provide you any patches to older v0.99 versions to resolve this. You'll need to upgrade when the new version is available to get this fix.

Brian, I've played about a bit more since my OP - I need to go back a bit to recreated my original problem - but you might be able to get something out of this for the moment... Alex

That's the way I understood it to be and it's not a problem. I've learned something new though and although I've still got a fair bit to go, I will get there...

BTW Is this not the best forum going?

Thanks - I was wondering if your scan had failed to connect to one or more of the transmitter muxes as was the case for at least one person in the other thread sub mentioned. It looks like your's should have been OK though - it's just Channel 4 and ITV4 which seem to be consistently inconsistent for people (if you get my drift).

Cheers,
Brian

Just for completeness: Angus transmitter is putting out Channel 4 and ITV4 EPG info as follows:

MUX 1 - both
MUX 2 - neither
MUX A - Channel 4 but no ITV4
MUX B - both
MUX C - both
MUX D - both

That was between 11:30pm and 12:30 am although it might be different at other times but I doubt it.

It's also sending out Durris' network information (you know: frequencies and stuff) instead of its own - plus MUX B shows references to 'Canal Plus' which I believe to be a French channel - but who gives a F^(\ :p
